If the user sets up HTTPS on PredicSis.ai, his uploads and downloads will be encrypted. A user's files will be illegible and data will remain confidential.
For downloads and uploads PredicSis.ai has used a pre-signed URL system; this system is secure and based on AWS S3.
When the user wishes to download a file, he obtains a temporary permission through a pre-signed URL.
A pre-signed URL gives the user access to the object identified in the URL, provided that the creator of the pre-signed URL has permissions to access that object. That is, if the user receives a pre-signed URL to download an object, he can download the object only if the creator of the pre-signed URL has the necessary permissions to download that object.
Pre-signed URL example:
For uploading PredicSis.ai uses a pre-signed URL system. In the same way as for downloads, the user must use the pre-signed URL promptly because otherwise it will expire.
In the event that the file's encoding is incorrect PredicSis offers Achlys. Thanks to this software tool, the file’s encoding can be made compatible with PredicSis.ai.
Achlys is a piece of software offering text file cleaning. It aims to deal with badly encoded files by removing odd characters or transcoding to ASCII or UTF-8 compatible characters.
As it is part of PredicSis.ai it is protected by PredicSis.ai security measures.
